Playtech, one of the world's leading online casino and poker software companies, is highly optimistic about trading for 2025 following impressive fourth-quarter results.

The company said revenues rose 101 per cent to $32.7 million (£17 million), when the previous year's US revenues were not counted (because of the company's withdrawal from the US after the introduction of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act).

Revenues from its casino games grew to $22.9 million from $13.4 from the same period a year before, with revenue from poker rising to $9.4 million – an increase of 265 per cent from the year before.
